Decent guide but nothing stunning I’ve used every guide since the original Red/Blue versions. I think this one is average and contains basic information but nothing stunning.Pros:- Format is magazine-style and easy to read- Contains information about what spawns in each area- Contains a decent Pokédex including movesets- Interesting section on concept artCons:- Missing a badge sticker on page one- Map is in the middle of the guide instead of an end, leaving a perforated edge that makes it hard to flip through- No shiny hunting guide, just a paragraph explaining shinies- No specific item locations, just marked with a list. Also does not show hidden item locations, just a list of ones found in an areaOverall it’s a decent guide for a beginner. Out of nearly 400 pages only about 85 pages are a walkthrough. A good half is the Pokédex.Kid Tested, Veteran Pokemon Trainer Mom Approved Received the guide in sealed plastic- no condition issues. As the owner and user of the original Red/Blue guide back in the day and guides/versions that followed, this a great guide for Let’s Go and covers everything you need to know. Let’s Go is my first grade child’s first Pokémon game. My child is an advanced reader but I didn’t really expect the guide to be used by my child for anything other than pictures...now it’s being studied! Easy enough reading and concise enough for beginners to understand and learn, and detailed enough for the experienced to enjoy and appreciate. The pull out map is handy and printed on cardstock with a Type Matchup Chart on the back. The bookmark and badge stickers do not disappoint either. I wish the cover was a little thicker as it has already begun to curl, but it’s shiny and has a nice texture so I don’t mind. Whether this is a nostalgic romp for you or you are helping your own youngster become a Pokémon trainer, this guide has something for everyone.Good but... This book is very useful. Full of good information on various things on the games. It's very thick and a bit heavy. And for once we finally get the complete Pokedex in a guide book. Why did I give it only 3 stars then you ask? Because it's lacking some very important information. It talks about battling the master trainers, the ones where you battle them with the same Pokemon they use. Only issue is it doesn't list where to find each master in the games or even give any tips on how to beat them.You've think they've at least list where to find them so I'm not wondering all over Kanto looking for them. I realize, yes I CAN look up that information online. But what about those who, unlike me don't have the internet and just have the book? They're going to have to spend hours looking for each one. Almost tempted to contact the Pokemon company and complain. But last time I contacted them they acted like they didn't care about my issues. I love most of their products but they do have very bad customer service.
